Can i keep this groundhog?

so i noticed today that we have a groundhog living under the cement stairs leading up to our front porch. I am an animal lover and i enjoy seeing him sitting on the steps. it seems like his home is buried out under our stairs then a tunnel goes under the walkway to the other side. We dont garden or worry about plants and i would love to let him stay. my concern though is will he ruin the foundation of our home? i know there is a tunnel under our walk as i said, but will that be ok since its done? how destructive to our house can he be? Thanks!
