Is my cat too smart for her own good?

She's curious and figured out how to do things. I have one cat that must try to open any door or cabinet when she sees one. If you latch a door or cabinet long enough they will stop trying that one since they know they can't open it. If they get it once they go back to it over and over. I would put a baby latch on my cabinet if this was my cat.
