Is it safe to drink cranberry juice that has a carbonated taste?

I bought some cranberry juice from the store a few months ago, and one of my nephews opened it, and I didn't know. I found it in the pantry, and when I opened it, it hissed loudly, and when I tasted it, it tasted good, but it also tasted carbonated. (Kind of like a wine cooler!) Is it safe to drink? I have it in the fridge now.
